The practice builds day-by-day, introducing you to the basics of yoga postures (asanas), sequencing, healthy alignment and breath techniques (pranayama). Instruction in meditation and relaxation techniques will also be given.

You will receive personal attention from an experienced teacher and will work at a pace that ensures learning as well as improvement in posture, breath, tone, strength, flexibility and a greater ability to cope with stress.

The beginner week will focus on the whole practice or yoga, we will start with the simplicity of the breath and move into sun salutations and when we feel we have mastered this we can learn the alignment of poses to then enable us to enjoy a strong and safe practice in different environments. We will incorporate meditation and yoga philosophy so be able to awaken our deeper selves.

In the Heart of Tuscany

Guests for the week will be hosted at the hotel La Forra, a beautifully restored Tuscan property on the top of a hill with amazing views across the valley and the surrounding rolling hills. Set on a green Tuscan hilltop, the hotel property is a charming mix of classic Tuscan style and more modern comforts including a large swimming pool and a great restaurant.

The resort is spacious but retains a calm and welcoming atmosphere.

The hotel is also conveniently located for those interested in making day trips to the famous towns and cities in the area, including Florence, Arezzo and Siena.
