As we enter  the new calendar year, we wanted to recap the past season at Tuscan Fitness to share some of the highlights of the year. Our great guests were from all over the world and we were lucky to share in many a good story and many laughs with them throughout their time here. The list of nationalities that have visited Tuscan Fitness grew once again and we have now had people from around 50 different countries as guests over the years.

We added a number of new activities this year, including a weekly Gong Bath (a sound therapy/meditation) that was met with great interest and occasional snoozing. There were also more Yoga instructors this season than ever before, both as permanent staff as well as some weekly guest instructors which combined to offer a great variety of teaching styles and yoga types for everyone to enjoy. We also added a new tour of a winery, owned and run by a local Tuscan family that was very popular thanks to the picturesque setting of the property, the charming owner and the delicious wine to be tasted.

We also added a number of new dishes to the Tuscan Fitness menu that we believe were a good balance of healthy cooking and delicious flavours – the zucchini ‘spaghetti’ with sunflower seeds and the green beans with aged ricotta were two consistent favourites. On top of that, Alix added numerous new recipes to the snack repertoire which were greatly enjoyed after afternoon yoga or hiking and many of which can now be found in the recently published Tuscan Fitness Snack & Dessert Recipe Book.

Overall, it was a great season and we wish to thank all of the amazing guests who chose to spend their holiday here and we hope to see all of them again in the future as well as many more interesting guests from across the globe next season.
