Maple Almond Butter Ingredients:

500 grams almonds: I use half skinned because they give a slightly different flavour and it looks really pretty!
1/4 cup maple syrup (organic grade A)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence (I use this delicious vanilla essence from an amazing spice store in Milwaukee called Penzeys)
1/2 teaspoon salt (I am currently using this Slovenian salt called “Piran salt” which is known for its high mineral content and its traditional process using only traditional tools)

To make Maple Almond Butter,  Mix all of it together in a bowl and turn the oven on to 170 Celsius, I roast the nuts for a total of 12 minutes turning them after 6 minutes.

Take the toasted nuts, first eat a few because they are AMAZING, then put them in the food processor or vitamix, whichever you have at your disposal. Now it is just a game of patience, you need to stop the machine and mix it up, bringing the flattened almond meal up from below the blade and continue doing this until the mixture begins to come together and turn into a paste, once it is at your desired consistency turn it off and let it cool!

Then sterilise a jar and dry it with disposable kitchen towel, spoon the cooled mixture into the jar and store for up to a month but it will not last that long, you can be sure!!!
